ANODISED ALUMINIUM is considered the cleanest aluminium treatment process. It requires no toxic chemicals or VOCs, significantly reducing air pollution. This process also allows the aluminium to be dyed without paint, ensures full recyclability without any loss of quality, and provides an extremely durable surface that is resistant to corrosion. Widely used in the marine industry, notably by Emeco for years, anodisation greatly extends the lifespan of products : surfaces do not flake, wear out easily, and require minimal maintenance.
CORK is a natural and renewable material sourced from the bark of the cork oak tree, primarily found in Spain and Portugal. It offers numerous advantages, but for this project, its lightness and cleanliness are of particular interest. Processed into flakes, cork oak is thermo-compressed at around 250°C to form the glides and backrest. This heat causes the cork cells to expand and enhances its natural binding properties, eliminating the need for chemical additives. The cork components protect areas of friction and contact with the body and the floor. Each piece is easily replaceable; recyclable indefinitely and biodegradable, it guarantees impeccable durability.

Oak cork, on the other hand, is composed of air-filled cells coated with suberin, making it completely water-resistant and non-decaying. Additionally, the Poodle Chair’s cork glides protect the aluminium feet from potential weakening caused by friction.
Its lightweight design and the indoor/outdoor compatibility of its materials offer exceptional adaptability across spaces. Depending on the season and climatic variations, the chair serves as a flexible module, easy to move to find the perfect garden spot.
